Its theoretical foundations are rooted in Dr. Abraham Maslow’s developmental theory of man’s
“hierarchy of needs”; Dr. Gene Cohen’s gerontological research on creativity and the mature mind; and
findings from the national Active Living by Design Initiative to promote health, wellbeing, and active
living among mature adults.
The person-centered principles which underlie Full Dimensional Life™ are founded on the ideas presented in Ageless Marketing by David Wolfe with Robert Snyder. Through their understanding of attitudes, values, and changing seasons of life as consumers’ behavioral drivers, they posit that, as humans mature, their desire for “being experiences” (experiences which help them grow, give back, help others, transcend and self-actualize) becomes more relevant than experiences which only “cater” to them.
